Breakups are tough. That’s why a lot of newly single people distract themselves with fleeting ‘rebound’ relationships. We saw this as an opportunity to give people a more meaningful, lasting ‘rebound’ with one of the 2.3 million dogs in US rescue shelters that are looking for a new, loving home.
We created ‘Rebound Dogs’, an activation that let people adopt a dog that was the statistical opposite of their ex, to help them move on with a new furry companion. A mobile site allowed people to describe their ex, via fun multiple choice questions. It then searched Adoptapet.com to match them with a local dog that was the complete opposite of their ex.
